Catholic school day

On Catholic School’s day we started off with a beautiful mass then we had lunch and met some St Joseph’s students.

We had a concert after lunch and we sang. First room 7 sang and they sang ‘Let it Go’ and then St Joseph sang ‘Count on Me’ by Bruno Mars and then we sang a Tongan song called ‘Mali, Mali, Mai’. We were next and we sang the cup song and we did the moves and it was very fun.

That was the happiest day of my life and I was very happy to find friends from St Joseph. When it was time to leave we sang ‘Humba Gasle’. When they were going I went to my friend and hugged her, I bet that she will come to our school and play with me again.

Maths Reflection

In my maths this term I am getting to know my numbers a little bit faster and my highest score for adding in Xtra maths is 66. For race the teacher and for the test was 20 smiley faces and for my ticks is 24.

Math whizz is another netbook Maths game.  My usage for this week is 23 minutes and my credits is 534.

What I like about maths is learning something new. We are learning to split numbers into parts instead of counting on with our fingers. I like going on my netbook and learning new things on math websites to and that's why I like maths very much. The best thing about maths is it will help you on your trip of life.

In Addition and Subtraction I am on Stage 4.

My Pencil

Pencils are made with wood, and inside the pencil is a lead and we can draw and write with it.

Some pencils have erasers at the back of them so if we make a mistake we can just turn the pencil around and use it, even we can draw new things with a pencil to.

It is as thin as a felt and a pen and also a paintbrush too. It is as hard as a rock and also it is sharp as a thorn and a needle. We use pencils more than pens and crayons, but sometimes our pencils get blunt like a smudgy mess.

It’s wood and has a lead and we can draw with it and we can create new pictures. You can buy pencils with a rubber at the back and we can write with it. It is very cool to draw with and I love to play with my pencil very much.
