My learning

This is my reading work that I have been working on today, is about a young man who went into war at the age of 23, and fought for our country and mostly for his family, with bravery and courage. This lesson teaches us today is to never be ungrateful, always be thankful for what you have before you know its gone. Just like this young man in this story who died but mostly had courage to stand up for things that are right, always remember the lesson that was brought to you today. Thank you.

Jesus the Model Teacher

My DLO is showing what kind of Teacher Jesus was back then. My DLO also helps me with my reading, it enables me to think deeper into what I am reading to understand what the reading/scripture is about. Just because we read fluently and just because we know how to pronounce the words doesn't mean we know what we are actually reading.

Reading term 1

Text/book: The Rules

TITLE & DATE	THE PART I REALLY ENJOYED IS...	I AM SAD/ WORRIED ABOUT THIS PART BECAUSE….	I WONDER
10/03/16 The rules	The part I really enjoyed is when he was busking and also when he was having fun busking.	I was worried about when he dropped his violin and it broke, cause I thought that when he broke the rules & also broke his violin, he was never allowed to play in the concert.	I wonder if Sefa had any consequences after they found out he was involved with the violin accident.

This piece of work shows my learn, which is I am learning to know if I enjoy or dislike this text/book. I showed that I enjoyed this book and I disliked some of the parts because of my piece of work is most of my evidence, this piece of work took me about 1 and a half days to finish off. Past the few days I have learnt how to understand what my learn is it was amazing and extraordinary. I loved learning new things like my piece of work I have presented to you. 2.VISUALIZE: Images I see... The scene I can picture the clearest is... - See more at: The picture that I can imagine in my head is the part when Miss Latu is coming to Isaac, or what if she was going their for something else it is so mysterious.

3. INFER: I think the author wanted to tell me that if you are a leader you have to take full pride in your work, also  you can’t go around fighting with people.

4.  CONNECT:This reminds me of my life, I was responsible of doing something and I just constantly left and I didn't do it, I felt scared when my aunty was coming to me cause I knew she knew I didn't do it.

5.  FEEL:  The part I felt emotional on and also connected with was when the teacher Miss Latu was coming forward to Tomasi and Isaac, while they were sitting their.

6.  EVALUATE: I confess that I didn't want to read this because it looked boring, but when I started to read this it was getting interesting by the minute. What would make it better is if they make a 2 chapter, cause chapter 1 is so interesting.

This is my reading term 1, I loved it because I read something that had mystery mixed with horror in it, it was really amazing learning something new, even asking questions to myself, what's gonna happen next and so on.

Feleti's Birthday

This is about a sad story and it’s called Feleti’s Birthday it is about when it is Evelina’s husbands birthday. Also the sad thing was that the Evelina’s husband died because he ate too much sugary food and then had diabetes and then he died. After that story she told Kuinileti they just finished their Paifala and their lemon tea they started to clean up and Evelina went to go and water her plants out at the garden.

Book Review:

Title:Sticky Burr	Author:John Lechner
Illustrator:John Lechner
Characters: Sticky Burr, Mossy Burr, Scurvy Burr, Draffle, Oralee.	Plot:He was not like the other Burrs and he was very strange and different.
Problem: The problem  was that he and some other creatures were stuck in a tree that had holes and when they went through they were in a hole that looked like a maze.	Solution: That when they were walking they were walking they were trying to find a way out so they had a plan to follow  Duffle which was Sticky Burrs Friend. After that when they were walking out they found a hole and went through it and was finally free.
Your opinion of the story: Why I love this story is because it tells us to never ever to believe whatever they say to you and it is not true and to never wander off anywhere that you're not allowed to be. Mere makes cake

On a lovely day Mere’s mum and dad went out to go shopping and the mum told Mere to look after the girl. When they went 2 minutes later Mere decided to bake a lemon cake. She put her cake in the oven but when she took it out it was too runny so she took it outside and feed it to the pig and she decided to make her second cake and in the middle it sunk. Mere went outside to the pig again and when she went back she decided again to make another cake. After all of that waiting she took it out and it was burnt, so she went to her backyard and feed the pig again.

When she finished feeding it to the pig she never gave up and made her fourth cake. She put it in the oven and then when she got it out it was perfect. She put lemon icing on it and when she finished her mum and dad were already back. They noticed that mum came in first and their dad didn’t so they waited for him.

When they saw him step in the house he noticed that the pig wasn’t hungry but Mere didn’t say a word. She cut a big piece of cake for herself and ate it and then she went to sleep.
